Diet options

When your trying to manage your weight it seems everyone has the “perfect” diet. In fact there are so many different types of diet it’s easy to get confused.  The pages below give you some idea of what’s out there and which diet might be right for you:

A healthy diet:

All the diets below are essentially ways in which companies help you to stick to your chosen diet.  We think that’s fine.  It’s often really helpful to have all their hints and tips and encouragement.  Even the seemingly scary social networks which sometimes go along with the diet can be really useful in helping you stick to your plan.  However if you think you can do it by yourself then follow this link to discover how to define your own healthy diet.

GI diet

The GI diet is the one that doctors reckon we should all be on to curb the obesity crisis and prevent Type 2 Diabetes. Based on reducing carbohydrate and sugar, this diet flies in the face of received wisdom at times and is has certainly had it share of critics. But fans know this diet can have dramatic results, without the need to ban ‘healthy fats’ like olive oil, avocados, nuts and oily fish. Click here for the full lowdown on what the GI diet is about.

Diet Chef:

We all know how hard it is to diet but imagine how easy it would be if you had your own personal chef who planned your meals, measured out the portions and did all the cooking for you. Well now you can! Diet Chef  send you a hamper full of chef-prepared ready meals for dinner, soups for lunch, granola for breakfast and healthy snacks for those hungry moments. They have pre-counted the calories of all the Diet Chef meals so you will be averaging less than 1200 calories a day which means that most people will be burning fat at a rate of 800 calories a day. Best of all they’ve used low GI ingredients so you will feel full for longer and won’t feel hungry. It costs about £6.79 per day which is probably not much more than you’re spending on food anyway.  To find out more click here.
